BODYPUMP Training

BODYPUMP is a revolutionary weight training workout that strengthens, tones and defines every muscle in the body and has totally transformed my exercise experience! BODYPUMP was created and distributed globally by LES MILLS International.

It’s a strength and endurance workout which brings the weight room right into a Group Exercise class. The class begins with a warm-up with light weights, is usually an hour long and is instructor lead. It is set to music and meant to make resistance training as engaging and fun as aerobics. The class is designed to improve posture, spinal alignment, muscular balance and leads to a toned, sculpted body. It will integrate the abdominals, lower back and hips to improve strength, flexibility, posture, balance and muscular symmetry. BODYPUMP improves strength and stamina within the major muscle groups by incorporating high reps and exercises in rapid succession and, in doing so, burns calories and increases your lean muscle mass.

Participants may select heavier weights as they progress, making BODYPUMP a class that continuously becomes more challenging. They will be offered modifications, as well as the opportunity to make their workout more athletic and vigorous. The workout is usually designed into stations that focus on weight and resistance moves, proper form and technique.  However, this workout should not be performed everyday; your muscles will need time to recover, so two to three days a week on nonconsecutive days is recommended.  Like all the LES MILLS programs, a new BODYPUMP class is released every three months with new music and choreography.

BODYPUMP can be offered at any gym/fitness club around the world with sufficient space to hold a class. It may not be for everyone, but it certainly has allowed me to redefine my goals and, ultimately, my life. Additionally, it has motivated me to finish getting in shape. It has totally changed my body and my running abilities. Additionally, it has provided a new way to spur my metabolism and firm my body as well. I have gotten much stronger and that has given me more confidence. BODYPUMP is amazing! I am a total addict.  And because of this, I have decided to become a BODYPUMP instructor very soon.  I am excited to take the leap and help others reach their fitness training goals.

Fear Of Success

Fear: False Evidence Appearing Real!

Where does this come from? Why do we allow it to determine our future? How can we overcome it? I have struggled with this myself. Fear of success? Are you kidding me, who’s afraid of success? Don’t we all want success? Shouldn’t this be “fear of failure”?

The first time I heard the term “fear of success” it didn’t register with me, because it made no sense at all. I mean, if someone is successful, then where does fear come in? Who could be fearful of success? It’s what we all want! So, I was determined to find out.

When I started in network marketing years ago, I was so excited! This was going to be my ticket to wealth. Well, it didn’t really happen that way. That is actually another story all in itself, but stay with me on this. I saw all these Leaders having success, and then thought to myself, “I could never do what they are doing,” “I could never lead people and teach them how to be successful themselves in their own businesses” and “ I could never motivate and inspire them to do better and to go the extra mile in their business.”
So where did all these self-doubts come from? Why was I telling myself these things? I DO want success for myself, and others. Why was I sabotaging myself? It didn’t make sense to me at all.

What I found is that we create fear from what we say to ourselves each and every day! It’s because of what we have been told from others in the past. It is from the stories that we tell ourselves, like ‘you will fail’ and ‘nobody is going to listen to you’ and ‘you can’t make a difference in anyone’s life so why even try?’ I wish I could see through other people’s thoughts, because I know there are many people who feel this way.

This is not what life is meant to be. This type of fear is not real; we create it ourselves in our own minds. We allow it because of what we have been told or because of our past experiences. I know it’s hard to overcome, but I also know that you CAN overcome it if you truly believe that you can.

Belief is powerful! It has to be present to diminish our fears. Belief in yourself and your abilities is so important that it can surpass the feeling of fear, which we all know is not real anyway!

Each and every one of us can overcome fear! How do we do it? It takes ACTION! It takes BELIEF! It takes a WILLINGNESS to recognize it and stop it in its tracks! Is it easy? Not always! But consistency and persistence in whatever you do, will bring you the success you desire!

One of the books that helped me is “Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway.” This book will open your eyes to fear and how to overcome the fearful thoughts and take action. Another thing that can help is having a support team who has the same goals as yourself. Learning how they handle objections can help you take the action that is needed.

So stop the “False Evidence Appearing Real” and live your life as it was meant to be lived! There are many people who have figured it out and who are living their own successes…now it’s your turn!
